Job Summary
Certified Medical Physicist ensures the quality and safety of radiation therapy and imaging equipment in oncology care. Performs equipment calibration, dose verification, treatment planning (IMRT/VMAT/SBRT), and quality assurance; conducts acceptance testing and commissioning of new radiation therapy equipment; provides technical direction and training to junior physicists and dosimetrists; supports HDR and LDR brachytherapy planning; ensures safety procedures and regulatory compliance; maintains documentation and reports across multiple sites.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Medical Physics, Radiologic Physics, Engineering, or a related Physical Science field with a strong background in mathematics
- Minimum of three years of full-time equivalent experience in medical radiation physics
- Current certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics from the American Board of Radiology
