Job Summary

Perform advanced clinical data abstraction in oncology registries, identify and analyze oncology patient data from various sources, maintain compliance with national cancer data integrity guidelines, and apply clinical knowledge to abstract complex cases. Requires expert judgment in coding and abstraction, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Current ODS certification required, along with a minimum of 1 year experience in oncology registries.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification by the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in oncology registries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Current on all required oncology registry and coding education

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in oncology registries preferred
  • Advanced understanding of oncology registry processes, coding, and registry rules
  • Proficiency in EMR systems, registry software, and team collaboration tools
  • Enhanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
