Job Summary
Assess medical conditions, functional capabilities, and rehabilitation potential for residents. Administer treatment programs with physician-determined goals and document patient conditions while educating families. Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care. Perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, and transferring patients, requiring sustained standing and walking. Work primarily inside patient rooms or clinics while adhering to strict safety protocols for bloodborne pathogens.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid license and registration
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position; lift, push, pull, carry heavy objects
- Must be capable of exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally (less then 1/3 of the time), and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently (1/2 of the time), and or up to 10 pounds of force constantly (2/3 or more of time) to move objects, equipment and/or patients
- Required to have visual and hearing acuity sufficient enough to assess patient safety and ability
- The use of protective equipment and measures is required for every employee engaged in Category I tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with long-term care and /or geriatric care is preferred
- Must have the patience, empathy, and compassion needed to care for elderly patients
- Ability to work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals
- Requires proficiency in technology-driven patient care and HRIS and timekeeping/attendance software
