Job Summary
Carry out occupational therapy interventions supporting students' IEP goals, improving fine motor coordination, sensory processing, and self-care abilities. Provide services in person or via teletherapy, record activities and progress, coordinate treatment plans with a supervising Occupational Therapist, and partner with teachers to facilitate classroom participation. Prepare therapy resources and maintain accurate service documentation while adhering to district procedures and compliance requirements. Placements are available in Austin and San Antonio for early childhood through high school, with flexible part-time and PRN options.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Ability to provide services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with therapy providers, educators, families, and school staff
- School-based assignments in Austin, San Antonio, and nearby communities
- Part-time assignments
- PRN opportunities
- In-person and teletherapy assignments available according to district needs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting pediatric or school-based populations is preferred
