Job Summary
Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, and improve skills for daily living. Guide patients through therapeutic activities and exercises to enhance motor skills, coordination, and independence while monitoring and documenting progress. Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve functional performance, maintain accurate documentation per facility standards, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members. Support patients in using adaptive equipment and assistive technology to promote a safe, encouraging rehabilitation environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification by the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
- State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in pediatric, adult, or geriatric settings is a plus
