Job Summary
PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides patient-focused OT services under a licensed therapist, treating patients per treatment plans, documenting charges and progress, instructing families and nursing staff on restorative/home programs, participating in interdisciplinary meetings, supervising staff when directed, and traveling between facilities as needed. Requires accreditation as an OTA, state licensure, documentation and billing compliance, and ability to work in a fast-paced rehab setting with exposure to blood and body fluids; duties include coordinating with other departments and attending staff development and performance-improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Assistant Program
- Successful completion of certificate/state licensure process for Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistants
- Current registration/licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Maintain documentation of supervision per state guidelines
- Must be able to lift patients up to 50 lbs
- English language proficiency
