Job Summary
Provide direct 1:1, small group, and in-class occupational therapy services to students with fine motor and sensory needs under the guidance of district Occupational Therapists and Special Education Coordinators. Perform these duties primarily within school and classroom environments, with occasional field trips. Requires Massachusetts licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and an associates degree or higher. Hourly rate ranges from $28.95 to $33.77 for the 2026 school year. Needham Public Schools seeks candidates with diverse backgrounds to support every child in an inclusive community.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher, in Occupational Therapy
- Massachusetts Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, talk, hear, operate a computer, handheld learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, work indoors or outdoors
