Job Summary
Administer treatment plans under Occupational Therapist directives and maintain patient dignity during sessions. Provide accurate daily documentation for clinical and billing purposes, including progress updates, equipment logs, and physician communications. Consult with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other therapists to clarify diagnoses or modify treatment plans as needed. Supervise Rehabilitation Techs when requested and lead support personnel for activities outside licensed scope. Lift 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, and demonstrate fine motor skills and visual acuity for patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Associate of Science degree from an accredited institution
- Licensed in the state practicing by the Board of Occupational Therapy
- Acceptable Criminal Background Check
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Appropriate and applicable fine motor skills
- Adequate visual acuity for safety with patient interaction
