Job Summary
Administer occupational therapy techniques and treat patients according to licensed Occupational Therapist directives while maintaining their dignity and rapport. Complete daily documentation procedures for clinical and billing accuracy, communicate significant treatment changes, and document equipment use and home programs. Contact physicians, social workers, and other therapists as needed to clarify diagnoses or modify treatment plans, and consult with patient families regarding equipment usage. Provide clinical supervision to Rehabilitation Techs as requested and assist in department improvement initiatives. This part-time, PRN role requires lifting 35 pounds, standing for extended periods, and holds an Associate of Science degree with state licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Associate of Science degree from an accredited institution
- Licensed in the state practicing by the Board of Occupational Therapy
- Acceptable Criminal Background Check
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Appropriate and applicable fine motor skills
- Adequate visual acuity for safety with patient interaction
