Job Summary
Provides patient care under the direction of a registered occupational therapist; implements treatment plans designed to help patients of all ages develop, regain, and maintain daily living and working skills; provides caregiver training to patients’ families, caregivers, or nursing staff; documents in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payor, and accrediting requirements; maintains knowledge through seminars, journals, and peers; meets continuing education requirements; contributes to a positive facility culture; performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager; maintains safety and collaborates with health team to support patient progress and functional independence.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
- NBCOT certification
- Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in good standing
