Job Summary
Assist licensed Occupational Therapists with objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for patients across all age ranges. Conduct initial assessments upon direction, administer appropriate modalities and exercise regimes, and document patient care including progress notes and continuing treatment needs. Maintain departmental records regarding documentation and charges while promoting education within the department. Demonstrate knowledge of special needs and behaviors for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the Inpatient Physical Medicine Supervisor. Requires current COTA licensure or eligibility, one year experience preferred, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupation Therapist Assistant program
- Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure in state of practice
- BLS certified
- Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently
