Job Summary
Prepare equipment for treatment and perform clerical duties for the department while assisting an Occupational Therapist with rehabilitative activities for patients with developmental, physical, and emotional impairments. Perform a variety of tasks, including patient transfers and moving up to 50 lbs, while maintaining a standing or sitting position. Plan and accomplish goals by relying on experience and judgment to meet age-specific needs of the assigned unit. Maintain regular and predictable attendance as an essential job function.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Occupational Therapy Assistant certification
- Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in State of Idaho
- 2 years' experience working in a hospital setting
- Ability to work in a variety of patient care settings
- Medical terminology
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
- Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
- Must be able to assist in patient transfer
- Regular and predictable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years' experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in the rehabilitation department
