Job Summary
Administer treatment programs and deliver occupational therapy interventions to maximize participant independence and safety. Assist with vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing while coordinating activities based on individual treatment plans. Handle scheduling for clinical visits and billing, and track equipment maintenance. Document all interventions using approved devices and techniques to promote muscle re-education, perceptual-motor, and cognitive function. Requires a valid California license, two years of experience with frail or elderly populations, and an accredited associate degree.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from Accredited Program
- Valid California Occupational Therapy Assistant License, or proof of License eligibility
- Reliable means of transportation
- Minimum of two (2) years of Occupational Therapy Assistant experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population
- Occupational Therapy Assistant knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs
