Job Summary
Provide quality ongoing therapy to all patients within the facility per physician's orders and perform therapy treatment and related duties delegated by the therapist. Communicate on an ongoing basis with the therapist, residents, and staff regarding the progress of designed programs, while assisting with resident and patient-related activities. Direct resident and patient care, prepare meaningful reports, and consult with the therapist and physician regarding changes in a resident's condition. Work as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant on a PRN schedule in Montrose, CO, serving older adults in the Delta, Montrose, and Ouray counties.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Therapy Assistant accredited curriculum
- Eligible for certification and/or licensure per state regulations
- Is a registered assistant or is eligible for registration in the state of Colorado
- Ability to understand medical terminology and how it applies to Therapy in order to communicate with residents, staff and physicians, and to prepare meaningful reports
