Job Summary
Provide quality ongoing therapy to all patients within the facility per physician's orders and perform therapy treatment and related duties delegated by the therapist. Communicate on an ongoing basis with the therapist, residents, and staff regarding the progress of designed programs, and consult with the therapist and physician regarding changes in a resident's condition. Direct resident and patient care while preparing meaningful reports and keeping department records as per facility policy. This role supports the Home Health of Western Colorado's mission to serve older adults in Montrose, CO, with a focus on compassion and individualized health care needs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Therapy Assistant accredited curriculum
- Eligible for certification and/or licensure per state regulations
- Is a registered assistant or is eligible for registration in the state of Colorado
- Ability to understand medical terminology and how it applies to Therapy in order to communicate with residents, staff and physicians, and to prepare meaningful reports
