Job Summary
COTA in a school-based setting: provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT, implementing interventions aligned with IEP goals to help students develop fine motor, sensory, and functional skills. Deliver in-person therapy, document progress and sessions, and collaborate with supervising OT, teachers, and school staff. Assist with preparing therapy materials, maintaining organized records, and ensuring compliance with district guidelines. Positions available in Houston and surrounding areas with flexible, part-time and PRN opportunities. Requires active Texas COTA licensure and an associate’s degree; experience with pediatric or school-based populations is a plus. Bi-weekly pay and access to benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations is a plus
