Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Therapy Outpatient

Follow the therapist's plan of care, adjusting interventions based on patient response after communicating with the evaluating therapist and documenting changes in daily notes. Implement occupation-based, patient-centered treatment activities while adapting to physical, cognitive, and behavioral limitations. Collaborate with patients, families, and the occupational therapy team to resolve conflicts and communicate progress to referring providers. Educate patients on activities of daily living such as dressing and cooking, and perform specific treatments including range of motion measurements, therapeutic ultrasound, and fluidotherapy. Produce clear, objective documentation in the therapy EMR for support of clinical decisions and payer information. Complete annual education for the DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program as assigned.
