Job Summary
Provide quality ongoing therapy to all participants of the Senior CommUnity Care program and assist the Occupational Therapist with participant-related activities and direct care. Communicate regularly with OTR, participants, and staff regarding program progress, while assisting with care planning processes as delegated. Optimize function and safety among participants to establish strong rehab care practices. Manage department records, coordinate Occupational Therapy services including scheduling and document mailing, and assist with ordering, inventory, and maintenance of durable medical equipment. Deliver Occupational Therapy under the direction of the Registered Occupational Therapist and perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an Occupational Therapy Assistant curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Is a registered COTA in Colorado or is eligible for registration in the state of Colorado.
- A minimum of one year's experience working with a frail or elderly population required.
- Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one-year experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in a long-term care facility preferred.
- Technical/other training or better in Pre-Occupational Therapy or related field
