Job Summary
Provide quality ongoing therapy to all participants of the Senior Community Care program while assisting the Occupational Therapist with participant care and care planning. Communicate regularly with OTRs, participants, and staff regarding program progress, and optimize function and safety to establish strong rehab care practices. Manage department records, coordinate Occupational Therapy services including scheduling and document mailing, and assist with ordering, inventory, and maintenance of durable medical equipment. Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm earning between $25 and $31 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an Occupational Therapy Assistant curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Is a registered COTA in Colorado or is eligible for registration in the state of Colorado
- A minimum of one year's experience working with a frail or elderly population
- Driver's License
- Occupational Therapist
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one-year experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in a long-term care facility
- Technical/other training or better in Pre-Occupational Therapy or related field
