Job Summary
Provide home-based occupational therapy services as directed by the attending physician, assessing functional problems and implementing interventions to improve patient status. Educate patients and families on disease management and proper use of equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and prosthetics. Monitor patient conditions, notify the Occupational Therapist of changes, and complete accurate clinical documentation following Medicare and Federal guidelines. Follow agency policies, procedures, and rules while attending mandatory in-service training and meetings. Schedule is PRN, one day per week from 8:15 AM to 5:00 PM with no on-call or holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) with current license in the state of employment
- Minimum one-year experience as a COTA in an acute care setting
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver
- Capable of all physical demands
