Job Summary
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to assist with rehabilitative services for patients in Rockville. Responsibilities include assisting with rehabilitation exercises and treatments, monitoring patient health needs, helping patients with daily living activities, feeding and personal hygiene assistance, maintaining and ordering equipment, documenting progress reports, and communicating with doctors to adjust treatment plans. Requires high school diploma or GED; associate’s degree preferred; MD licensure; BLS and First Aid certifications; valid driver’s license. Part-time per-visit schedule in home health.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate’s degree from accredited COTA program preferred
- site specific clinical affiliation required
- Licensed in the State of Maryland
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- First Aid Certification issued by American Heart Association
- Valid Driver’s License with agency insurance requirements
