Job Summary
Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to improve residents’ ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility. Implement individualized treatment plans, assist residents with therapeutic exercises and functional activities, monitor responses, and communicate progress to the supervising OT. Support adaptive equipment use, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, participate in interdisciplinary care planning, and ensure accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies and HIPAA/OSHA requirements. Requires an Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program and active state licensure; 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric setting is preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems and strong communication skills are valued for collaborative, resident-centered care.
