Job Summary
Optimize functional abilities and skills of patients with upper extremity conditions, including tendon injuries, post-operative fractures, and orthopedic diagnoses. Educate clients on task approaches and activity breakdowns while observing and reporting progress toward long and short-term treatment goals. Ensure high-quality patient care through proper documentation and compliance with quality assurance policies and regulations. Work within a supportive outpatient team alongside experienced hand therapists and regional CHTs who collaborate on education and schedule support. Provide per diem coverage Monday through Friday at a rate of $35/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program
- National registration and state COTA licensure or registration
- 1 year current working experience with hand therapy patients
- fieldwork in hand therapy with Select Medical
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Valid state driver's license
