Job Summary
Provide quality ongoing therapy to all participants of the Senior CommUnity Care program and assist the Occupational Therapist with participant-related activities and direct care. Communicate progress with OTRs, participants, and staff while assisting with care planning, scheduling, and document coordination. Optimize function and safety among participants and manage durable medical equipment inventory and distribution. Keep department records per facility policy and perform other duties as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an Occupational Therapy Assistant curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Is a registered COTA in Colorado or is eligible for registration in the state of Colorado.
- A minimum of one year's experience working with a frail or elderly population required.
- Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one-year experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in a long-term care facility preferred.
- Technical/other training or better in Pre-Occupational Therapy or related field
