Job Summary
Provide quality ongoing therapy to all patients within the facility per physician's orders and perform delegated therapy treatment and related duties. Communicate on an ongoing basis with the therapist, residents, and staff regarding progress, and consult with the therapist and physician regarding changes in resident condition. Direct resident and patient care while preparing meaningful reports and maintaining department records as per facility policy. This role supports the Home Health of Western Colorado's mission to serve older adults in Montrose, CO, within a Medicare/Medicaid-certified home health care team. Schedule is PRN.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Therapy Assistant accredited curriculum
- Eligible for certification and/or licensure per state regulations
- Is a registered assistant or is eligible for registration in the state of Colorado
- Ability to understand medical terminology and how it applies to Therapy in order to communicate with residents, staff and physicians, and to prepare meaningful reports
