Job Summary
COTA role in a long-term care facility supporting the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning; provide hands-on therapeutic interventions including ADL training and use of adaptive equipment; document residents’ progress and communicate updates to the care team to ensure continuity of care; promote a safe, supportive environment and meaningful relationships with residents. Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
