Job Summary
Direct service according to a written treatment plan/IEP to improve, develop, restore, or maintain opportunities for active participation in self-maintenance, work, leisure, and play for students with autism. Collaborate with the supervising OT to develop appropriate plans, recommend modification of treatment approaches, and communicate with school personnel and families. Maintain and record accurate documentation while developing a daily schedule that includes sites, students, and activities. Requires current New York State COTA license and OTA program graduation.
Required Qualifications
- current New York State certifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) program
- Current New York State COTA license to practice
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with people with autism
- One to three years' experience working as an OTA in a related setting
