Job Summary
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support Modesto, Merced Counties, and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include participating in evaluating patient functional status, modifying activities to promote independence, teaching and retraining daily activities, maintaining clinical records, documenting progress and changes to treatment plans, coordinating with other health care personnel, attending inservices/case conferences, identifying needs for additional services, and instructing family/caregivers in the treatment regime. Must be supervised by an OT no less than every 30 days and hold an OTA degree, state licensure, NBCOT certification, and CPR certification; valid driver's license and automobile required. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Certified with the National Certification Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Licensed by the State Board of Healing Arts in accordance with state licensure laws
- A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a certified occupational therapy assistant
- Possesses and maintains current CPR certification
- Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization requirements
