Job Summary
Implement therapy services for students under the supervision of licensed therapists, including executing IEP-determined activities, conducting screenings, and collecting data on goals. Modify classroom environments and instruct families on proper equipment use while maintaining accurate records and ensuring all assistive devices function correctly. Collaborate with teachers and families to revise therapy plans and consult on best practices, all while adhering to school policies and maintaining student confidentiality. Transport materials and troubleshoot assistive technology as needed. Requires NBCOT certification, North Dakota licensure, and an associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an approved and accredited program
- Initial certification with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Licensed by the North Dakota State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice
- Maintain licenses
- Participate in ongoing training as required
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
- Non-Exempt
- Minimum of one year of experience with a background in pediatrics, school systems, assistive technology, or sensory integration is desirable
