Job Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) implements the treatment plans for patients under the guidance of Occupational Therapist (OTR). Responsibilities include performing clinical duties to ensure effective patient care, completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assessments, setting measurable outcomes, and documenting the treatment process. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, adherence to ethical and legal standards, and participation in the development of therapy programs. The COTA maintains accurate documentation and engages in professional development activities, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant program accredited by the AOTA
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance
- Currently licensed in Pennsylvania as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, or eligible.

- Previous work experience
- Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office programs
- Coding
- Experience in specialty areas (i.e. pediatrics, geriatrics, and Occupational Medicine)
