Job Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant implements therapeutic programs under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to enhance patient physical and sensory-integrative functions. Responsibilities include guiding patients in therapeutic and self-care activities, documenting patient progress, participating in case conferences, and reporting on patient conditions. The position requires effective communication, initiative in organizing work, and adherence to agency policies. Candidates must be licensed in Texas and have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy curriculum.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a curriculum in Occupational Therapy accredited by American Occupational Therapy Association
- Current licensed by the state of Texas to practice as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
Desired Qualifications
- Two years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in home health preferred
