Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant *2026-27 School Year*

Under the direction of the Chief Schools Officer with a dotted line to the School Registered Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides OT services aligned with OTR-directed plans, assisting with screenings, assessments, data collection, progress reporting, and adapting materials to support students’ motor, sensory, self-regulatory, and functional goals. The COTA works across multiple campus locations in Akron area, supports in-class therapy activities, prepares materials and equipment, maintains student records, and participates in ongoing professional development and team collaboration.
