Job Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) will provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, design and administer therapy programs to improve or maintain functional abilities, and assist patients in activities of daily living. Responsibilities include administering assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, fabricating splints/adaptive equipment as prescribed, maintaining patient records, participating in home assessments, and collaborating with the care team to support resident functioning and safety in a skilled nursing/memory care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy
- Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association
- One year of experience preferred
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to use tools used to make adaptive equipment
