Job Summary
Provides diagnostic evaluations and treatment as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities include administering and writing evaluations, designing and administering therapy programs to improve functional abilities (strength, ROM, fine-motor coordination), training patients in adaptive techniques and equipment for daily activities, fabricating splints and adaptive devices, and participating in home assessments. Also delivers environmental design recommendations, preventive/therapeutic interventions, and coordination with the care team in a skilled nursing/memory care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy required
- Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association required
- One year of experience preferred
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to use tools used to make adaptive equipment
