Job Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides diagnostic evaluations and treatment under supervision to help patients reach their maximum functional level. Responsibilities include administering and writing evaluations, designing and delivering therapy to improve strength, range of motion, and activities of daily living; training patients in adaptive techniques and equipment; fabricating splints and adaptive devices; conducting home assessments; maintaining patient records; and collaborating with the OT and care team to support resident functioning in a skilled nursing/memory care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy required
- Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association required
