Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic evaluations and administer treatment programs to assigned patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Design and fabricate splints and adaptive equipment, instruct patients in self-care skills for activities like meal preparation and dressing, and participate in home assessments. Maintain accurate patient records, provide consultation on environmental design and positioning, and deliver therapy for neurological and traumatic brain injury patients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
- Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Demonstrates the ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements
- Demonstrates the ability to make independent decisions, solve practical problems that may or may not include a variety of concrete variables
- Demonstrates the ability to listen actively and evaluate social situations in an objective, consistent and fair manner
- Demonstrates knowledge of Employee Handbook and complies with the policies in the Handbook
- Complies with community policies and procedures for workplace safety including infection control procedures, emergency response and safety protocol
- Complies with all company policies and procedures related to resident rights; abuse prevention and reporting; and resident confidentiality (HIPPA)
