Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic evaluations and treatment for assigned patients under an Occupational Therapist's supervision to help them reach maximum functional performance. Administer sensor-motor integration techniques, design individualized therapy programs, and instruct patients in adaptive equipment use for self-care and home management. Fabricate splints and adaptive devices per medical prescriptions while providing prevention therapy to maintain functional skills and safety. Maintain accurate patient records, participate in home assessments, and support team members through patient support groups. This role is part of a skilled nursing community in Delta, CO, offering a pay rate of $27–$38/hr with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and tuition assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
- Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Demonstrates the ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements
- Demonstrates the ability to make independent decisions, solve practical problems that may or may not include a variety of concrete variables
- Demonstrates the ability to listen actively and evaluate social situations in an objective, consistent and fair manner
- Functions independently with integrity, flexibility and works well with residents, personnel and support agencies
- Demonstrates knowledge of Employee Handbook
