Job Summary
Evaluate patient functional status, home environments, and equipment needs to develop comprehensive treatment programs and goals. Teach new skills, retrain patients on daily activities, fabricate splints, and instruct on adaptive, prosthetic, and orthotic devices. Maintain clinical records, communicate with physicians and caregivers, supervise therapy assistants and aides, and participate in discharge planning. Perform work capacity evaluations for return-to-work candidates and contribute to case conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills
- Possess and maintain current CPR Certification
- Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization requirements
