Job Summary
Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist by carrying out individualized treatment plans to improve residents' strength, coordination, mobility, and ability to complete daily activities. Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, functional tasks, and adaptive techniques while educating families on safe techniques. Monitor and document progress accurately, report condition changes to the supervising therapist, and participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary conferences. Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other team members while following all facility policies and state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current NBCOT certification
Desired Qualifications
- Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred
