Job Summary
Plan and carry out programs for students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, selecting activities that meet individual needs and utilizing strengths to maintain or improve functions. Facilitate participation in educational settings to effect positive change, while administering evaluations, screening procedures, and identifying learning needs. Maintain records, measure development, and contribute observations to evaluation reports and progress notes. Assist in maintaining orderliness, cleanliness, and safety of the treatment area, and may attend parent conferences or staffings. Support special projects as directed by the building principal or Occupational Therapist.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant training program
- Must be certified by, or eligible for certification by, the Board of Registry of the American Occupational Therapy Association (COTA)
- State of Illinois Occupational Therapist License

- Pediatric or school-based experience
