Job Summary
Assist Occupational Therapists in providing rehabilitative services to patients under their care by helping individuals with exercises to improve strength, balance, and mobility. Observe and document patient progress while reporting updates to the Occupational Therapist, and instruct patients and family members on proper techniques for equipment use. Communicate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and maintain clean, organized treatment areas. Adhere to all healthcare and safety standards while participating in regular training to enhance job knowledge. Requires an active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, an Associate's degree, and at least one year of experience. Full-time individual contributor role in Littleton, Colorado.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- State licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques, principles, and practices
- Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients with physical activities
- Active license to treat in Occupational Therapy
