Job Summary
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant administers occupational therapy treatment to program participants under the plan developed by a licensed occupational therapist. Responsibilities include ensuring scheduled OT treatments, conducting active/passive/resistive exercises, knowledge of heating modalities, fabricating splints under supervision, training homebound and community endurance, maintaining OT equipment, collaborating with a trans-disciplinary team on treatment planning, and managing daily billing logs. Requires COTA/L licensure in state and completion of an accredited COTA program with A.A.S. in OT; 2 years neurorehabilitation experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and graduate of an accredited COTA program with A.A.S. in OT
- Licensed as COTA/L in State
- Two years experience in neuro–rehabilitation preferred
- Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
