Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA/OTA) under supervision of the Occupational Therapist performs services planned and supervised by the OT, assists in preparing clinical notes and progress reports, participates in educating the patient and family, and in in-service programs. Implements the Plan of Care, assists with vocational/education programs designed to restore and enhance function, designs/adapts equipment and living environments, and fabricates devices to improve independence and participation. Provides therapeutic treatment and instruction to patients, documents observations in patient records, assists with progress reports, and supports home programs, care coordination, and discharge planning. Demonstrates effective clinical problem solving and performs other duties as assigned.
