Job Summary
Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with the established Plan of Care to assist patients in improving daily living skills and functional independence. Accurately document patient progress and treatment outcomes while communicating effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques, maintaining compliance with all state, federal, Medicare, and agency regulations. Work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement treatment plans that improve patients' independence and ability to perform daily living activities.
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of home health experience preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and documentation standards
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
