Job Summary
Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with the established Plan of Care to assist patients in improving daily living skills and functional independence. Accurately document patient progress and treatment outcomes while educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques. Communicate effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team to ensure compliance with all state, federal, Medicare, and agency regulations. Maintain a flexible schedule under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support patients in their place of residence.
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of home health experience
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and documentation standards
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
