Job Summary
Provide high-quality occupational therapy services under the direction of an OT; develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence; lead therapeutic activities addressing ADLs, strength, coordination, cognition, and safety; document patient progress and maintain accurate, timely clinical records; educate patients and families on home programs and strategies to support daily function; maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment; collaborate with the rehabilitation team and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated care; monitor patient responses and adjust interventions as appropriate under OT guidance; participate in professional development and contribute to a positive team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of (or anticipated graduation from) an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Maine COTA license (or eligibility)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and functional outcomes
- Interest in rural healthcare and collaborative teamwork
