Job Summary
Home-health role for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) working one-on-one with patients in their homes. Responsibilities include empowering patients to live safely and productively at home, assessing home environments, modifying tasks and using equipment to improve participation in daily activities and quality of life. Requires an OTA associate degree, state certification, valid driver’s license, CPR, TB screening, hepatitis consent/declination, and about one year of OTA experience in acute care. Role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care within Compassus/Ascension at Home network and supports flexible scheduling in a PRN/part-time capacity.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current State Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Valid Driver’s License
- Current CPR, negative TB screen and Hepatitis consent/declination
- One year experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in an acute care setting
