Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy services in patient homes to restore physical ability, strictly following the treatment plan defined by the supervising OT and adhering to state-specific laws. Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to the nurse supervisor and physician. Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and the broader health care team on therapy activities within the scope of practice. Maintain a dependable vehicle or access to public transportation for home visits. Requires current Washington state OT Assistant licensure, National Board certification, and a valid driver's license. Per diem schedule with variable weekly visit counts based on productivity targets.
Required Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of Washington
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Access to a dependable vehicle
- Public transportation
- Must be certified and in good standing with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
