Job Summary
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist in an in-house therapy model. Follow state laws governing occupational therapy in home care and adhere to the treatment plan defined by the supervising OT, performing only procedures within COTA qualifications. Recommend changes to the plan of care as needed. Role includes administrative duties and participation in ongoing education; benefits include CE funding, license renewal support, PTO, and other in-house programs. Requires an accredited COTA program degree and a current unrestricted state license; physical ability to kneel, stoop, and stand for extended periods. Location: College Place, WA. Required Qualifications
- Possess a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Possess, prior to, onboarding and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in assigned state
- A moderate degree of physical strength is needed because of the exertion required to assist patients
- Ability to kneel, stoop and stand for long periods of time with or without accommodation
