Job Summary
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist in a PRN opportunity at Regency Albany (Willamette Valley). Duties include following state laws governing OT in home care, performing procedures within qualification, and making recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising OT. Offers an in-house therapy staff model with benefits such as continuing education funding, license renewal support, PTO, and professional development opportunities; requires an OTA degree and an unrestricted license in the assigned state. Physical duties include assisting residents in a skilled nursing setting, with mobility tasks and adherence to treatment plans under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Possess, prior to onboarding and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in assigned state
- Adaptability, compassion, detail oriented, friendly & courteous
- A moderate degree of physical strength is needed because of the exertion required to assist patients
- Ability to kneel, stoop and stand for long periods of time with or without accommodation
